The Literacy Celebration has been put on for nearly a decade by the Early Childhood Literacy Coalition, a tri-county organization including the Capital Area District Libraries, Great Start and Head Start programs, and WKAR. There were games, a kiddie obstacle course, fun programs, information tables for parents and music from various cultures – with children having an opportunity to try out various instruments.
